my husband and I are both college students, and have no time to spend cooking fancy meals. any yummy, fast recipes that you have would be appreciated!I need some quick, easy recipes for some good chow. any suggestions?
None of these meals takes more than 15 minutes to prepare. Although some take a while to cook. All are very good if you ask me.
Chick peas, diced tomatoes with chili peppers, curry, garlic, and ginger. Better with fresh, but fine with canned/dried.
Brussel sprouts boiled in 1/4 red wine vinegar, 3/4 water, 1/4 stick butter. I don't like sprouts, but these are tasty.
Fry up crispy bacon. Drain most of the fat. Add sliced potatoes sliced. Fry a while. Add sliced onions. Crumble on bacon. Add salt, pepper, garlic. Yum.
Brown hamburger dice and add an onion. Boil macaroni and drain. Add one can cream of mushroom soup, salt, and way more pepper than you think would be good.
Salad.
Instant chili. Brown hamburger. Add diced onion. 1 can red beans, 1 can stewed tomatoes, 1 can diced tomatoes, 1 big can mushrooms, chili powder to taste. I like garlic too.
Take two pieces of heavy duty foil, crimp them longways to make one big sheet and line a lasagna pan with it. Put in very marbled flat roast. Add potatos, carrots, celery, onion. In a 4 cup measuring cup mix 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 can milk. Pour on top. SLOWLY sprinkle one bag dry onion soup over the whole thing. Crimp sides of foil tightly to seal it all together and then bake for 3 hours on 350.
Get a bag of 12 bean soup and follow the recipe. Simple and delicious.
Rice boiled in 1/2 water - 1/2 chicken broth. Add butter and salt and tumeric (just makes it pretty). Add a drained can of corn.
1 can corn, 1 can cream corn, 1 box jiffy corn muffen mix, 1/4 stick butter, diced onion. Mix and pour into greased pan. Cover with small sour cream and a bag of grated cheese. Bake 350 until it doesn't jiggle.
Steam broccoli and season with old bay.
Boil spinach. Add a can of cream of mushroom soup. Season with salt and pepper.
Egg noodles, butter, salt, garlic, parmesan. Old standby that I personally LOVE.
Boil carrots. Drain almost all of the liquid. Add honey, salt, and lots of basil.
A box of mac and cheese, 1 can of drained peas, one can of 1/2 drained tuna. Pepper.
Fry up frozen wontons on both sides. On side mix soy sauce, szechuan sauce, hoisen sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and enough honey to make it sweet but not taste like honey. Cover wontons and reduce.
Melt 1 stick butter in microwave. Dip and fry small chicken wings. Add remaining butter and cover with hot sauce and fry some more. Serve with chunky blue cheese dressing and celery. Good with a little honey too.
I can go on and on. I love cooking and my limit is about 15 minutes prep.I need some quick, easy recipes for some good chow. any suggestions?
What a disgusting selection of meals. Have you never heard of fish? Or fresh meat? Report Abuse
Pasta with pesto sauce,
Just cook the pasta like you usually cook it if you like you can cook a lot of pasta and then keep it in the refrigerator. (usually the longest time is with the pasta so if you keep it in the refrigerator the sauce is not a big deal)
the sauce is very simple, you have to cut garlic and onions in small parts, then bring to the fire in a skillet with olive oil and some mushrooms in pieces, then add milk cream, and then one tea spoon of pesto sauce (in the super you can get it), wait for 2 minutes and then add the pasta to the skillet in order to warm it and thats all.
try this delicious dinner that you can whip up any time.
