My friend and I feel like baking, what are some quick recipes that would be easy to make?

We have all of the MAIN ingredients, like salt sugar and brown sugar, also eggs and milk (of course!) But we want something different, and fun to make! Thanks! =)My friend and I feel like baking, what are some quick recipes that would be easy to make?
Strawberry shortcake is sooo good.

Ingredients:

* 2 cups flour

* 1/4 cup sugar

* 4 teaspoons baking powder

* 1/2 teaspoon salt

* few grains of nutmeg

* 1 egg, well beaten

* 6 tablespoons cold butter

* 1/3 cup milk

* 4 cups fresh strawberries,

* 3/4 cup brown sugar

* whipped cream

Preparation:

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Sift. Work in butter with pastry blender or fingertips; add egg and milk. Mix just until dough is moist. Turn dough into a buttered and floured 8 or 9-inch round cake pan and pat into shape. Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes in a 400掳 oven, or until golden brown. Test with a toothpick inserted in the center. If it comes out with dough clinging to it, lower the heat to 350掳 and bake about 5 more minutes. Remove from the pan and split horizontally with a serrated knife. Butter the cut side of both layers. Put layers together with strawberries and their juice between the layers and on top. Garnish with several whole berries and serve with whipped cream.

Black And White Cookies

INGREDIENTS

1 cup unsalted butter

1 3/4 cups white sugar

4 eggs

1 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon lemon extract

2 1/2 cups cake flour

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

4 cups confectioners' sugar

1/3 cup boiling water

1 (1 ounce) square bittersweet chocolate, chopped

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Butter 2 baking sheets.

In a medium bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the milk, vanilla, and lemon extract. Combine cake flour and all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually blend into the creamed mixture. Drop tablespoonfuls of the dough 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets.

Bake until edges begin to brown, about 20 to 30 minutes. Cool completely.

Place confectioners sugar in large bowl. Mix in boiling water one tablespoon at a time until mixture is thick and spreadable. (Add more than the indicated amount if you need to).

Transfer half of the frosting to the top of a double boiler set over simmering water. Stir in the chocolate. Warm mixture, stirring frequently, until the chocolate melts. Remove from heat.

With a brush, coat half the cookie with chocolate frosting and the other half with the white frosting. Set on waxed paper until frosting hardens.

Makes 2 dozen cookies

Have fun and dont forget to make extra frosting to have a frosting fight!!!!! I did that with my friends while we were making chocolate cake for a party. We had to make another batch lol.
Make a cake (any kind you like) and bake it, then break it into chunks and place them in a large bowl. Mix up a box of pudding mix and let it set a little to thicken. Pour this over the cake chunks. Smooth the top off, let it set, and then spread with whipped cream or thawed frozen whipped topping when you're ready to serve it.

Another fun thing to do is make sugar cookies and bake them into little cup shapes using an inverted cupcake pan. Yes, grease the outside of the cups in the cupcake pan and bake your cookies on the cups with the pan turned upside-down. Fill with pudding just before serving.
No-bakes are always fun, easy, and quick to make! They are like chocolatey with peanutbutter. Sooo gooood!! Look up the recipe.. you just mix.. put them into separate piles. And let them get hard. I even just put them in the freezer for a few to lessen the time :)
