I have about 2 1/2 weeks to lose a little and tone up, so I'm looking for some food to help since I can't help not eating! Thanks! What are some good, quick recipes for diets?
LOL it's almost impossible not to have car bs, because of the ';complex'; and ';simple'; carbs (just limit them). So here's the thing... To lose weight you have to speed up your metabolism. To do that (you'll like this answer) you have to eat about 5 to 6 times a day. The trick is not to get full when you eat. All you have to do is satisfy your appetite. That will regulate and speed up your metabolism. So it isn't really what you eat, it's how much of it you are eating. The most important thing to remember is that you have to discipline yourself. Diets never work unless you exercise. No pain, No Gain! What are some good, quick recipes for diets?
Lot of egg whites, more water, load of whole fruits and leafy vegetables. NO oil, chips cakes, CARBS in limited amount. An excellent recepie is early in morning have a glass full of warm water with a table spoon of honey in it and 2-3 drops of lemon juice. If you do not have lemon have ginger juice one spoon. You will find the change in 2 weeks for sure
Leah,
Keep working out, to tone your body. if you lift lighter weights and more reps you will add more tone then size, but it will also keep your metabolism working hard. I also take a protein shake everyday after I workout, I use about 40-50 grams a day. If you take a shake, remember to take it within 30 min of working out for best results. Muscle will help to burn fat. I get my protein from the link below, they have a forum page with some good recipes and discussion threads. The oreo smoothie is my favorite. Good luck.
Cook without fat, using a rotisserie, a steamer, a slowcooker, a microwave oven鈥?br>
I do my herbs skinless chicken in my little rotisserie鈥ut of this world!
I use my steamer for fish and veggies鈥gain, not having to use any extra fat.
I never order salmon in restaurants anymore because it never tastes as good and juicy as my steamed salmon.
Have steamed (or microwaved) broccoli every day. Those will fill you up like nothing else and they have very little calories. Plus broccoli are very, very good for you.
Buy a good cookbook like the new dieter鈥檚 cookbook (It鈥檚 a Better Homes and Garden Book). One of my favorite recipe in that book is the pasta with broccoli-onion sauce and I found it online (I put it in the link). Only 132 calories per serving (138 in the book..). It鈥檚 so low calories that you go for seconds! Plus my kids love it (and they鈥檙e very picky).
Bon app茅tit !
Try to eat mostly protein for the next 2 and 1/2 weeks. Limit your carbs to about 35 grams per day. And exercise twice a day, for about 25 minutes. Drink lots of water
Get a good juicer and juice up a bunch of different fruits and vegetables.
Low calorie foods, lots of fiber, preferably veggies like salads.
go with proteins and greens. it takes the body longer to process proteins and greens are pretty much nothing but water
NO CARBS!!!!!!!!!!
