12 ounces smoked salmon

2. Make the sauce: Mince the 1 shallot. Core and chop the 1 tomato. Cut enough fresh dill with kitchen scissors to measure 1/3 cup. Slice the 12 ounces smoked salmon into strips and set aside, covered with a damp paper towel.

3. In a 12-inch saut茅 pan, heat the 1 tablespoon vegetable oil over high heat. Add the minced shallot and cook, stirring, 1 minute. Add the 2 tablespoons capers, if using, and the 2/3 cup white wine. Bring to a boil, then reduce the wine over high heat 5 minutes. Add the 1 cup heavy cream and reduce the mixture 3 minutes, until the cream is slightly thickened. Remove the pan from heat and add the 1 cup thawed peas, chopped tomato, and snipped dill.

F.Y.I:

Smoked salmon is fresh salmon that has been smoked by using either a cold- or hot-smoked process. Most of the salmon we are familiar with is treated by a cold-smoke method, in which a temperature of 70 to 90 degrees is maintained anywhere from 1 to 3 days. Scotch smoked or Irish smoked salmon are named for the countries they come from, which use the cold smoke process on salmon from Atlantic waters.

Tips:

When adding smoked fish to a hot dish, it鈥檚 best to do so at the end of the cooking time. This will keep the integrity of the fish intact. Otherwise the fish gets overcooked, which changes its taste and texture. For a stylish variation try substituting smoked trout for the smoked salmon.

Mandarin oranges, a pantry item for many households, make a pleasant change if fresh orange segments are not available.

My family loves a pasta salad any time of year. I just cook the pasta of my choice and rinse with cold water and drain. Chop veggies of your choice. I add onions, garlic, cucumbers, tomatoes, shredded carrots, celery or celery seed, zucchini, and green peas. I use a variety of dressings. Here's one we all like:

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1/2 cup sugar

1/3 cup oil of choice (mine is canola)

black pepper

minced garlic

Shake well and refrigerate.
Does not get much more simple that this. Take boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sprinkle each with Good Seasons Dry Italian dressing mix, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, bake @ 400 F for 22 minutes. Juicy, tender and delicous.
I have a quick chicken recipe, you only have to use salt and fresh ground pepper, and put in the oven uncovered for about 40 minutes, at 350 degrees, with the skin up, for this recipe is better the chicken legs and thigh.
Fry minced meat in a pan with half spoon of oil.

add fried chopped onion to it stir well.then salt, black paper%26amp; spice.

then one spoon of tomato paste... at the end some drops of fresh lemon juice..at the same time fry 2 or 3 potatoes ..add the potatoes when u want to serve the dish.It takes less than half an hour!

Bon appetite....
Forget about recipes. Just use a basic concept and improvise as you cook.

Beans and rice with toppings (cheese, tomatoes, peppers, etc).

Pasta with tomato sauce (use Italian seasonings like basil, garlic, etc)

Salad (whatever you think goes well together!)

Scrambled eggs with chopped veggies (peppers, tomatoes, onions)

Stir-fried veggies with tofu (use firm tofu, onions, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, sweet peppers, mushrooms, carrots, bok choy, and season with soy sauce; don't forget to use really high heat and stir fast; a wok is nice for that).

Eggplant curry (saute onions then add garlic and black mustard seeds, then add garam masala, cumin, turmeric, red pepper, then add cubed eggplant and some water to touch tops of eggplant; cook covered for 20 min till eggplant is soft, then remove lid, taste and adjust seasonings to your liking, cook off some excess liquid, eat!)

Fried rice with pineapple tofu. Make the rice and fry it with egg and soy sauce. Fry the tofu with some onions and then add pineapple; I also like to add hot taco sauce.
oh well this can be a side dish or the entree

it depends on how much meat u add

k make plain white rice

and sautte onions , green onions, and bacon

when evrything is cooked add to the rice when it is cooked, then mix.

Knock You Naked Brownies

1 cup Bisquick

1 cup sugar, divided use

3 tablespoons baking cocoa

1/3 cup baking cocoa

1/2 cup milk (or half %26amp; half)

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional) or pecans (optional)

1 2/3 cups hot water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix Bisquick, 1/2 cup sugar and 3 T. cocoa in a greased 8'; x 8'; glass baking dish. (I use a disposable aluminum pan sprayed with PAM.) Stir in the milk (or half %26amp; half) and vanilla until blended. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/3 cup cocoa and 1/2 cup sugar. DO NOT STIR! Sprinkle nuts over the top, if desired. Pour hot water over the top and DO NOT STIR! Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes. The top will look and taste like a brownie, but underneath will be a YUMMERS rich hot chocolate sauce. If you serve it with vanilla ice cream, it's so good it'll Knock you Naked! (See why you locked the door?). In the words of Loretta LaRoche, ';Life is short, so wear your party pants!';.

Cheesy Garlic Pull Aparts-- ONE OF MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITES!

2 tablespoons butter

3 garlic cloves, minced

2 teaspoons dried parsley

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1 (8 ounce) can biscuits (10 biscuits)

2 cups mozzarella cheese (can use less)

2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated

pizza sauce

Heat oven to 425. Melt butter in small bowl. Stir garlic, parsley and garlic powder into butter. Pour butter mixture into pan. Cut biscuits into 4 sections each. Place in pan. Top with both cheeses. Bake for 10-15 minutes until biscuits are cooked through. Invert upside down onto a plate. (I take a knife around the edges of pan to release stuck on cheese before inverting to plate.). Serve with warm pizza sauce.
